Origin of poker

While Poque and its German equivalent called Pochen were both based on the 16th-century Spanish game primero, which featured three cards dealt with each player and bluffing. which began to rise in popularity since the early 1970s when the world series of poker all started. As modern poker tournaments became more popular in American casinos after the WSOP (World series poker) with the notable champions of that era Johnny Moss and Doyle Brunson just to name a few. The spark of poker stars has caused the public to acknowledge that it is possible to become famous and rich while playing poker, As more and more people are starting to take an interest in the game this is when “poker strategy” became a thing. The 1st ever published book that teaches us the secrets of poker titled “poker strategy” has become one of the best selling strategy books of the century followed later by “The theory of poker”.
During the late 1980s, California legalized the flop games of hold’em and Omaha, as well as stud which led to the first poker “boom”.
